Dunkirk Mill Centre visitsThe Trust places great value on its educational role. Special visits for school parties can be arranged to the Dunkirk Mill Centre through the spring summer and autumn. There is material in the engineering, history and gallery sections of the site which may be helpful in the preparation of project work on the Stroudwater woollen industry or the industrial revolution more generally. For more details about school visits please contact Ian Mackintosh using the details in the Contacts section. Feltmaking The Trust also organises and runs feltmaking sessions in a number of local schools. Below are some examples of work carried out in one recent session. These beautiful pieces of felt were made by 6 - 7 year old pupils at Beaudesert school. The children chose an Aztec design and then they made the finished felt into an Aztec shield. If you are a teacher and would like to arrange for a feltmaking session for your class please contact Jane Ford (using the details in the Contacts section) for more details.
